Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Huybit is designed with privacy at its core. Your habit data stays on your device. We don't track you, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Habit data — habit names, completion records, notes, and streaks. All stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• Apple ID (optional) — if you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple-provided user identifier and, only if you choose to share them, your name and email address. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real email.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect device identifiers for tracking purposes.
• We do not use cookies, pixels, or third-party tracking tools.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All habit data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data.

If you enable iCloud Sync (available with Huybit Pro), your data is synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your Apple ID credentials solely to:

• Authenticate your account within the app.
• Enable data restoration if you reinstall the app or switch devices.

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the app's core functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

Huybit uses the following Apple platform services:

• Sign in with Apple — for optional account authentication.
• Apple CloudKit / iCloud — for optional data sync across your devices.
• Apple StoreKit — for processing in-app purchases (Huybit Pro).

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with any third party. Period.

The only circumstances under which data may be disclosed:

• If required by law, such as a valid court order or legal process.
• Through Apple's iCloud infrastructure, which is subject to Apple's own privacy practices.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data lives on your device. You are in full control.

• Delete individual habits — remove any habit and its history from within the app at any time.
• Delete all data — uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
• iCloud data — if you use iCloud Sync, you can remove synced data through Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage on your device.
• Delete your account — if you signed in with Apple, you can remove the app's access through Settings > Apple ID > Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID.

7. Children's Privacy

Huybit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We rely on Apple's built-in platform security to protect your data, including on-device encryption, the iOS sandbox, and iCloud encryption. Since we do not operate backend servers, there is no centralized database that could be breached.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for data processing.

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise these rights directly by managing or deleting data within the app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
